On behalf of the International Society for Adaptive Medicine (ISAM), Local Organizing and Program Committee, and the International Scientific Advisory Committee, we have the honour of welcoming you to Orlando for the 13^th World Congress of the ISAM.  The 12^th World Congress was held in 2018 in Pattaya, Thailand.  The previous World Congresses of the ISAM were held in Freiberg, Moscow, Tokyo, Chandigarh, Frammingham, Lyon, San Diego, Moscow, Taipei, Bucharest and Yonago. 

            The science of adaptive medicine focusses on the understanding of the molecular as well as cellular processes involved in body adaptations to extreme stress conditions such as high mountain living, deep sea diving, space, exercise, various pathologies and others.  The other salient feature of this science is that an understanding of adaptation in one condition and its potential of cross-protection to a repeat stress as well as other stressful conditions.

            The 13^th World Congress will bring together basic, clinical and applied scientists from all over the world who will share their knowledge about the over-expression of good physiological adaptive responses and the suppression of bad pathophysiological adaptive responses.
